Hey there, I’m Emily!
Small town prairie girl
Turned tech professional
Turned Career Coach
who's learned that the most beautiful journeys are rarely straight lines.
Growing up in a small Manitoba town, I had big dreams that felt too BIG for my surroundings.
I was that slightly rebellious teen who knew there was more out there for me—I just needed to find it
(Don’t ask my mom about the time she picked me up from the back of a cop car — yikes).
So at 17, I packed up and moved halfway across the country to attend UBC. Talk about diving into the deep end! But that's always been my way—jumping first, figuring out the landing later.

University Emily was a classic Type A high achiever. President of UBC Sororities. Award winner. Over-committer. I studied science not because anyone told me to, but because it fascinated me.
Fun fact: When no existing program quite fit what I wanted to learn, I created my own Integrated Sciences degree combining microbiology, immunology, and public health.
(Was this the first hint of an entrepreneurial streak? Probably.)
The Tech Chapter

The Tech Chapter *
Then life took its first major twist. Through a mentor's nudge, I fell into tech—working at an e-commerce company while having absolutely no clue what e-commerce even was.
That first tech job led to another. And then another. For 5 years I climbed the corporate ladder (well, more like swung on through the jungle gym) from Community Manager to Business Analyst to Product Manager to Customer Success.
I built valuable skills, and even met my now-husband Tim along the way. From the outside, everything looked perfect.
But all the while, something was missing. I kept asking myself questions I couldn't answer like:
What is my purpose?
Am I really fulfilled by this work?
What else might be out there for me?
I went looking for career advice and found my calling instead.
A year into my career, I hired my first career coach. I was searching for clarity on how to advance my tech career—but left with something completely unexpected.
During one of our sessions, she casually mentioned, “You’d make a great coach.”
Me? A coach? At first, the idea felt wild. But that tiny whisper wouldn’t go away.
On March 7, 2020, I listened to it, stepping into my very first coaching class (right before the world shut down—remember that?!).
Immediately, I felt an overwhelming sense of coming home. Coaching was the path I'd been searching for without even knowing it
The Entrepreneurial Leap

The Entrepreneurial Leap *
I quit corporate and took the leap faith into full-time entrepreneurship in the Fall of 2021, which was equal parts terrifying and exhilarating.
Naivety was definitely on my side; if I'd known how challenging it would be, I might have hesitated longer!
Finding My Footing
In those early days, I really struggled to find my footing. I initially branded myself as a Life Coach, partly because it felt safe—and partly because it allowed me to avoid fully embracing my tech background, something I was surprisingly ashamed of.
My coaching was all over the map: I helped people shine brightly in all sorts of ways—from guiding a retiree launching her art business to supporting clients on journeys toward true self-love and deeper self-understanding.
Think therapy meets forward momentum.
But here’s the funny thing: even amidst that mish-mash, the theme of helping women with their careers kept emerging.
As a Life Coach, I helped an artist shed her self-doubt around her career choice; today, she's running a thriving international art business.
I coached Becca through quitting a draining, undervalued job to step confidently into a purpose-driven career—and her dream salary—in a totally new industry.
My Aha! Moment
Still, it wasn’t until I hit a rock-bottom moment—think no-money-in-the-bank-and-the-mortgage-is-due—that I faced a make-or-break reinvention.
I remember clearly when a friend gently reflected back to me:
"Why not women in STEM?"
It was the ultimate lightbulb moment—suddenly, it all clicked into place.
It wasn’t that my coaching fundamentally changed; the transformation was external. I rebranded, claimed my tech background proudly, and consciously said "yes" only to career-focused work with ambitious women navigating their journeys in STEM.
It turned out to be the best decision ever.
I've helped dozens of ambitious women thrive in tech by successfully navigating career transitions oF THEIR OWN.
Now, I’m proud to say I've passed the 3-year mark in my business—with no end in sight—and I've built a life that feels right.
My Dream clients
Through my journey, I've realized my dream clients—the people I'm the absolute best fit coach for—WERE a lot like me:
Lifelong high achiever
Know it’s time for a change
Journey looks a lot more like a zig-zig than a straight line
It’s not about the next job—it’s about creating a career path that lights you up and gives you the lifestyle you deserve.
Is struggling with “what do I truly want?” and “how do I make it happen?”
Sound familiar?

The Invitation
If there's one thing I've learned, it's this: Listen to the whispers.
They're quieter than fear, doubt, or expectations, but they're there. And when you have the courage to follow them, they can lead you to something beautiful.
No matter where you are right now, you have the strength to not only navigate the twists and turns but use them to help you thrive in a way that feels true to you.
Your path doesn't have to be linear to be meaningful. In fact, those twists and turns? They're often where the magic happens.
Ready to explore what might be waiting just around the next bend in your journey? I'd be honored to walk beside you.
